The best candidates for circumferential body contouring procedures such as a lower body lift are those who have maintained a stable weight for at least six months.

Isolated lifts such as an abdominoplasty or lateral thigh lift are appropriate in the right patients; however, when performed in patients with a circumferential problem, an isolated lift may result in disproportion with the remaining unlifted tissues. Patients with laxity of the buttocks, thighs and abdomen who are well suited for a lower body lift.
