US News and World Report was also enlisted to help expand the process to physicians all over the country.
The nominations are reviewed by the research team, and the nominees’ credentials are carefully scrutinized. Medical education, training, hospital appointments, administrative positions and professional achievements are analyzed, as is any malpractice or disciplinary history.
